Charlie liked his other vegan food, but when they had supply chain issues that led us to change brands, we went with Petaluma (we also live in Petaluma, CA, so...). Now, when it's time for his meals, his ears perk up and his tail wags. He LOVES this food, and he seems to be more energetic overall...

Not only do my dogs love this food, I feel better feeding it to them. I was a V-Dog mom forever. I feel like since the switch they are getting the best nutrition. Plus the packaging is even cute!

So I have a senior cocker spaniel. (Lady 💓) I just started feeding her the dehydrated food for dinner. When I open that bag this girl goes crazy. I mean she is running in circles barking at me like she's a puppy. She has slowed down on chowing down her kibble so I wanted to try something new. Well this was the answer. She eats it like she will never be fed again lol. I'm going to let her keep eating it and hopefully she tolerates it well digestively. (We tried the baked adult formula several years ago and it just didn't agree with her digestion).

Happily my dog loves it ! After trying many of the big brands and just not feeling right about the nutritional value or the ingredients we found Petaluma. This is the most transparent company I've found in all my research. They fit all the nutritional parameters I was looking at for my senior dog and the ingredients are superb and clean. He's had bad allergies the last 5 years which leaves him with itchy skin and hot spots year around. The Vets aren't sure if it's food or environment. The dermatologist thought it might be one or more of the preservatives. I'm hope it helps with his allergies but I'm more focused on nutrition so his body can stay strong. He's only been on Petaluma Senior for 2 weeks, he's been playing more and hasn't had any new hot spots. Fingers crossed it keeps getting better for him and enjoys his white muzzle years

My 7 year old 10 pound mini Australian Shepard acts like a puppy. She Loves her food! The smallest bag lasts several weeks for her because she also eats organic fresh veggies and fruits everyday. This food helps her teeth and her digestive system. Great ingredients! I am very picky. She has been eating Petaluma for years.

My lovely Ripley has had a big problem with a yeast imbalance for a few months. Her coat has been stiff and oily. I’ve been feeding her y’all’s food consistently now and all of those issues are now gone. She is happier now and no more itching or smell. I praise y’all’s products wherever I go! Thank you for providing a wonderful solution for healthier dogs that actually works.

A dachshund and Chiweenie love this dry food. I use it for their late day snack to supplement their wet food in the morning and afternoon. It stays fresh all month. It is easy to travel with too!

I bought this food as my dog is reactive to potato, lentils etc. Had the test done. So far her poop is looking real good, no mucus. She also can only eat lamb, beef and chicken (if its bought fresh and cooked). I purchased 6 lbs and received 2 - 3 lb bags. I'd like to buy this in a bigger bag so my scooper fits into the bag, maybe even a 10lb bag.

My two fur babies love them. I use them for training.

I've been using Petaluma for Daisylove for at least three years now. It was a struggle for me to decide between Petaluma and human-grade, cooked, frozen food, fresh, hydrated food, because I am concerned about the risk of cancer caused by the commercial kibbles, which are extremely unhealthy for dogs, yet people still buy them and if people notice even the very expensive food are still not trusting. But when I found this Petaluma, I felt at ease and had no worries because of the quality of the ingredients they use. Now I am confident and happy with my Baby Daisylove, and she loves it, and she is happy. Thank you, Petaluma. This kibble is so beloved by my pups, that they actively chose it over traditional meat kibble.

About 2 years ago—
The oldest, Ellie (current 10 year old Klee Kai with regular upset tummy issues), was found to have developed a serious allergy to kibble with meat. Probably the preservatives, the vet surmised.

Vet recommended a vegan / vegetarian kibble for her going forward.

We tried a few, including prescription, but Petaluma was the obvious winner.

It was such a hit, that Ellie’s two younger sisters (Yuki, currently a 4 year old Jindo, and Kaia, currently a 2 year old Klee Kai) started turning their nose up at their meat kibble and demanding Petaluma instead.

2 years later, all 3 are all firmly on Petaluma kibbles, with a supplemental organic meat topper.
They freakin’ gobble it up.

Everything about this company was what I was looking for: sustainable, completely balanced, food trials, senior kibble formula, Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist. I originally gave this a 2 star, because after initially liking the food, my dog suddenly wouldn’t touch it. I crushed the kibble to fit her tiny mouth, but she stopped liking it. After realizing there after, she wouldn’t eat any food ( not even fresh), I took her the vet for an ultrasound and blood work. Nothing was wrong. I removed all treats including her daily Ora-Vet dental chew. Turns out her appetite came back and she is now eating the food happily again. When I re introduced the Ora-Vet dental chews, she stopped eating again. The Ora- vet chews either filled her up and she had a hard time digesting them. All that to say, I am happy feeding her this kibble because it’s baked, designed by a board certified Veterinary nutritionist ( a real degree carrying vet nutritionist, not a dog enthusiast with a certificate) and I especially like the sustainability of the product.

To make a long story short, my dachshund mix, who's almost 9 years old, has BVS, a condition that causes nausea and vomiting in between meals. I feed him three times a day with treats in between to prevent this, but I've also discovered that adding some whole food to his regular kibble alleviates the issue completely. To make sure he was still getting the right nutrients, I was previously using fresh frozen food as a topper (25% of his meal), but it was getting expensive and I hated how wasteful it felt shipping frozen food. I tried a well-known dehydrated food brand to replace it, but it did not sit well with my dog. I figured it couldn't hurt to get a trial bag of this new food from Petaluma and see if it works. Lo and behold, he loves it and I've not seen any digestive issues whatsoever. It also smells SO MUCH better than the meat-based dehydrated food we tried before. Thank you for making a balanced topper that's easy to love! :)

My dogs are so in love with the new mixer. I feed as a meal. They are so in love with it. They lick the bowl even after it gone. I have never seen them do that. I have already ordered 10 bags . They are so happy no skin issues or licking at all. I live in a state where the allergies are so bad. I work in a vets office and see dogs with horrible skin issues. Because of Petaluma my dogs have gorgeous coats. Thank you for making this wonderful food. Please continue making wonderful products.i will keep buying. Customer her for life.
